A while back, I posted how I was only going to use three products for the entire 2021 – shampoo, conditioner, and hair grease. It was a challenging feat since I’m a bit of a product junkie but I wanted to see if I could actually do it. My ultimate goal is to have bra-strap length hair so I have a bit of a ways before that happens.
But here is an update! To do a comparison, I will have to show you a pic of me taken this past January 2021 and one just taken yesterday, August 2021.

As you can tell, there has a been a lot of growth! Now, I’m all about transparency on this page so I have to keep it real about a few things:
- I am taking a daily prenatal.
- I’m also drinking a lot of water.
- I have good hair genes. And I don’t mean I have good hair (all hair is good hair, btw), but I just have strong hair genes. My hair has always grown pretty quickly.
- I’m literally only using those three products (shampoo, conditioner, and hair grease), however, I do change the shampoo and conditioner quite frequently and that’s because I go through both quite frequently.
- I wash my hair a minimum of twice a week.
- I don’t use any heat at all on my hair.
- I use Bonner Bros. Super Gro hair grease.
Right now, I’m using Design Essentials shampoo and conditioner, Almond and Avocado. I really love how clean both products make my hair and the conditioner does give it a lot of slip! To purchase their products, please click on the links above!
